We have had absolutely gorgeous weather the last few days! It’s great because we can get out and enjoy the beautiful landscapes around us without freezing or getting soaked. We decided to take full advantage on Sunday and look around an old house (circa 15th century originally) nearby then check out a new city. The house and grounds were so nice, the city…eh not really impressed. However we did indulge in the traditional British Sunday roast lunch. Roast pork & beef, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, broccoli with cheese, yorkshire pudding and gravy to top it off? It was delicious!
Although yesterday was also gorgeous we stayed around the house only venturing out to get groceries, chinese take away and take the pup for a walk. I did however have tea while reading on the patio – will definitely be doing that a lot over the summer! Today we went to a nearby Fen (wetland) which is good for birdwatching and seeing all kinds of vegetation and insect, bird & wildlife. The sun, mild weather and pretty landscapes made for a pleasant 3+ mile walk. We even crossed paths with a small herd of cattle. Here are some photos.
For those wondering, I still haven’t started work, but there has been movement and progress in the right direction. Hoping after a meeting and signing some paperwork tomorrow things might be ready, but who knows at this point….
